Punta Lara Hotel
The Punta Lara Hotel, an iconic 4-star establishment on the island of Noirmoutier, has been fully renovated to reopen in June 2024, just in time for the summer season. Nestled in a pine forest with sea views, the hotel aimed to install modern charging facilities to provide high-quality service to guests staying in one of its 60 rooms.

The hotel previously had electric vehicle charging stations that were either unsupervised or malfunctioning.

Our Intervention

During the hotel’s renovation work, management sought to use this redesign period to improve the charging site and add a third station in its parking lot. The hotel also wanted a payment solution on its stations, allowing guests to charge their vehicles independently.

DejaBlue proposed replacing the existing stations with newer, more reliable units and adding a monitoring system along with a charging application. This allows hotel guests to charge their electric vehicles with just a few clicks. The stations are monitored in real-time to prevent incidents and enable remote maintenance.
With the hotel’s renovation integrating seamlessly with its natural surroundings, they chose to keep the stations mounted on wooden pedestals that blend well with the dune landscape. The third station added, specifically for guests with reduced mobility, was mounted on a metal pedestal and secured on a concrete base in a paved area of the parking lot. As of this date, more than a hundred unique visitors have charged using the DejaBlue solution at the hotel’s designated rate.
The hotel also offers free access to the charging stations through VIP badges that unlock the stations at no cost. Thus, additional energy costs are covered by guests, while the hotel has flexibility to offer charging services to select clients. The additional revenue generated helps cover installation costs and enhances the hotel’s parking amenities.

What the hotel says

“Since the installation of the DejaBlue charging system, we have been able to enhance the customer experience when using the charging stations. The operation is simple, transparent, and fast, allowing our clients to enjoy their stay without the stress that a lack of charging stations could cause.

The launch of the new stations went very smoothly with our staff, avoiding any miscommunication to customers. The automated payment system allows us to avoid billing disputes and ensures smooth operation of the charges.”
